White Sox general manager Kenny Williams told MLB.com that “we’re going to let the kids play," indicating a youth movement for the 2012 season. One likely casualty of the shift to younger players would be OF Carlos Quentin. One of the young players that the White Sox want to give more playing time to is Dayan Viciedo, and Quentin's spot in right field is his probable landing spot. Quentin hit .254 with 24 home runs and 77 RBI in 2011, though he missed nearly all of the last six weeks of the season with a shoulder injury.
