Farnsworth not used in Game 3

Tampa Bay closer Kyle Farnsworth was available for Monday's ALDS Game 3 loss at home to the Rangers, though he was not needed with a deficit in the ninth inning. Manager Joe Maddon said prior to Monday's game that Farnsworth (elbow) would be available and he certainly was out in the bullpen, hoping the Rays would take a lead so that he could close it out. Farnsworth has yet to make an appearance in the series, as he has been dealing with a sore right elbow. He played catch on Monday afternoon prior to the game.
