Eric Chavez (neck) hopes to start working out with the A's in Oakland on Monday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Our View
This is positive news, though he still remains out indefinitely. Chavez has always been an injury waiting to happen (unless, of course, the injury already happened) and is far from the player he once was. There's little to no reason to own him at this point.
